Toranmal is located in middle range of Satpuda Hills in Akrani Taluka,
Nandurbar district. A hill station situated at an altitude of 1461m. Due to
higher elevation and the wooded surroundings, Toranmal plateau has a very cool
and bracing climate like any hill station. The natural flora and fauna of the
Satpuda forests are some of the pleasures one will find along with the calm and
serene beautiful spot engulfed by 7 towering ranges of the Satpuda Mountain.
Toranmal lies undisturbed, uncrowded and is one of the most peaceful places on
earth. There is beautiful natural lake, named as Yashvant Lake. In the environs
are two old temples of Gorakhnath and Nagarjun. There are few ancient temples as
well. Thousands of devotees attend a fair of the Gorakhnath on the Maha
Shivaratri (March / April) day. The people from adjoining districts of
Maharashtra and also from adjoining Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat attend this fair.
Other places of tourist interests are Sitakhai - a deep valley; Khadki point - a
point giving panoramic view of valleys; Machindra Gumpha - A natural cave;
Sunset point and Kamal Talao - a lotus lake. There are different treks like
Khadki, Seetalhai for trekkers. A forest park is also situated near the lake.

By Air :Nearest Airport is Aurangabad at 290-km.
By Train :Nearest railway station is Nandurbar at 76-km on the
Surat-Bhusaval line of Western Railway. Another Convenient railway station is
Dhule at 128-km.
By Road : Nearest bus depot is Shahada at 55-km from Toranmal. From Mumbai
via Dhule it is 472-km.

Best time to visit : The hill station is an ideal place to visit
throughout the year. Toranmal enjoys a pleasant cool climate even during the hot
season.
